Our Pediatric Dentists
Dr. Nicholas Bushey
After obtaining his undergraduate bachelor degree, Dr. Bushey was awarded the coveted 4-year Health Professional Scholarship for dental school. Dr. Bushey went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Pennsylvania and later served as a general dentist officer for 5 years in the Air Force—one year of which included an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. While in the United States Air Force, Dr. Bushey was stationed in Cambridge, England; Tampa, Florida; and Dayton, Ohio.
Following his service in the Air Force, Dr. Bushey discovered a passion for pediatric dentistry and went on to complete his pediatric dentistry specialty training at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio and Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. After becoming a board-certified diplomate, Dr. Bushey relocated to Dallas, TX to be near his family. He now spends his free time running at White Rock Lake with his dog Copper, playing tennis, traveling, and enjoying Lakewood’s food and wine options.
Our Orthodontist
Dr. Kirat Sodhi
After graduating with a 4.0 GPA from one of the best dental schools in India, Dr. Kirat Sodhi practiced general dentistry for several years before relocating to Seattle, Washington. Shortly after her move, Dr. Sodhi was accepted into the fellowship program at The University of Washington. It was here where she saw her clinical skills, creativity, and compassion fit into the world of dentistry through orthodontics. In pursuit of her newfound passion, Dr. Sodhi went on to complete a fellowship in Clinical Orthodontics and a 27-month residency in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics and Master’s of Science in Dentistry at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. During her residency, Dr. Sodhi was exposed to a variety of treatment modalities with appliances like twin brackets, self-ligating braces, Invisalign, and Incognito treatment options. She has experience with advanced laser technology including Biolase, iLase diode laser, and intraoral scanners like 3Shape Trios and Itero.
Dr. Sodhi is enthusiastic about educating people on the value of orthodontics and puts true belief in the power of smiles. Every day, she strives to make the world a healthier, happier place by putting a beautiful smile on every patient’s face! In her spare time, Dr. Sodhi enjoys meditating, eating healthy, and enjoying the new “mom life.”
