The clear aligner system uses a series of custom-made, computer-generated plastic aligners to straighten a patient’s teeth instead of metal brackets and wires like traditional braces. Each set of aligners is designed to make small changes to the alignment of the teeth. As aligners are switched out about every two weeks, teeth will gently and gradually move to their proper positions. Patients will visit our office regularly during this treatment period so our team can ensure the patient’s smile is progressing as planned.

For adolescents looking to perfect their smiles without metal braces, NCDN’s orthodontic specialists proudly offer clear aligners. Clear aligners helps patients achieve the smiles of their dreams, but with two key differences to help teens stay on track:
- Compliance Indicator Dots – Clear aligners have discreet indicator dots that help keep track of how many hours your teen wears their aligners based on the color of the dots. The dot is located on the molar of the aligner, so it is unseen when your teen smiles or speaks. It’s vital that teens remember to wear their aligners when they are not actively eating or drinking so progress can stay on track.
- Additional Replacement Aligners – We know your teen’s schedule is busy between school, friends, sports, and other extracurricular activities, and their aligners may not always be top of mind for them, leaving them susceptible to forgetting to put their aligners back in after a meal or after taking a selfie with their friends. One benefit of clear aligners is the included replacement aligners at no additional charge.
